A BUILDER 7aa9394dea Title: ForagerGenre: Action, Adventure, Indie, SimulationDeveloper:HopFrogPublisher:Humble BundleRelease Date: 18 Apr, 2019 Forager Update 8 Download i love this game i really do but as of now its not worth the $20 there's not enough to do right now this game has so much potential and im looking forward to the updates but as i said right now its not worth the price. I wouldn't get this game at first because you would be able to complete it very quick.Wait for it to add more content to it and especially post game content so you would have go grind for days to get a satisfying reward at the end of it. Maybe add like more things to explore and especially dungeons and probably a bit more challenging because it's a bit too easy. It's a good game overall but just needs more content to keep its replayability. The best reason to describe how I felt while playing this is that I was more addicted than I was having fun. The many progression loops are really great, but the micromanaging of all of the factories and the lackluster combat combined with some really easy puzzles (besides the weird galaxy rooms, which are more like riddles and I couldn't figure out a single one) really just gets tedious after a while. With a game like this, which relies on an ever expanding factory of sorts, you need increasing amounts of automation as the facotires begin to sprawl out, as well as increasing control over the environment or it gets difficult to manage, and you just don't get any of that. So a lot of the factory placement and management parts have you placing factories next to museums and quest objects that are long used up, each building making it harder and harder to get around. It's not... Bad, but it is more addicting than it is fun.If I were to make a suggestion, I'd either go further away from automation and revoke some of the automation in the game as well as lower prices on items (to encourage more foraging and less idling) or increasing automation and get some inspiration from Factorio or the like.. This game is CUTE, colorful, and addictive as fk. If you like Starbound, Terraria, Minecraft, Don't Starve - or any similar game to these! You'll like it. I'd say Stardew but really it feels like you should be working at a fast pace. It's not that you have to, it's just what it -feels- like the game wants you to do. You could also call it a light version of Factorio, as you're pretty much conquering this adorable world through capitalism.Make no mistake though, this is a game for people who love crafting, gathering, and base building. And\/or achievement hunting. Combat is there but I've not even come close to death a single time through out my 22 hour stint, and I'm end game now. Which is sad as well because I wish the game was longer! There are also puzzles but they aren't very complicated, give or take 1 or 2. If I have one more complaint, it's that once you have many machines going and things start to become automated, there's so much going on your screen constantly, it can be a bit overwhelming; a bit messy. I had to turn the game down from my original settings because certain banging noises in the game are also much louder and get more frequent as the game goes on. The good news is, the developer is still working to improve the game, and has a promising road map. Many of the things I listed in the last paragraph are on said map to be improved upon. There's also mention of multiplayer by Fall. I feel like multiplayer would really shorten how much game play you'd really get out of this, but at the same time, I see many people who are never able to complete a farm on Stardew because it takes so long to do so, and random people just aren't the best team mates. You wouldn't have that problem with this game at least.Over all, 7\/10.. It's not bad, but not worth its price either. If i had to rebuy it, i'd buy it at 10\u20ac. Loses its initial charm rather fast, becoming aimless and all over the place after a little while. Not much to do despite all the complexity, which translates more as a lack of depth. There's all these game elements thrown at you but... not that much cohesion between them in the end. It's a lot of ideas put together, yet very little carefully crafted design. As some others have described it, the game also suffers from the automation, power creep, and lack of meaningful goals. The art and music are cute though, and you can feel that the dev put some love into the game, albeit perhaps a bit naively.
